Milbrae supports initiatives that promote inclusion and assist indigenous business enterprises and employment.


6.2 DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIP

Milbrae Business Group provides sponsorship and donations to many sporting, welfare and community organisations. Generally, sponsorship and donations are allocated by 30 June each year.


6.3 MEDIA LIAISON

Milbrae incorporates a diverse range of business operations. We endeavour to work with local communities to create dynamic relationships that are mutually beneficial. 6.5 WORK EXPERIENCE AND WORK PLACEMENT PROGRAMS

Milbrae supports the skill development of young people in the communities in which we work. We regularly host Work Experience students and also participate in the a range of development programs to assist disadvantaged students prepare for the workplace. 6.6 RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAM

Milbrae has established a pilot solar energy program at the Colinroobie site near Leeton. The solar panels produce 40 KW per/day and are expected to replace approximately 65% of the annual electricity burn. Further renewable energy programs are planned for the future.


6.7 GLOSSY BLACK COCKATOO PROTECTION PROGRAM

Milbrae has been involved in the protection of the Glossy Black-Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus lathami lathami) found at Colinroobie, NSW. The program includes maintaining habitat and supporting nesting programs. Further information on the Glossy Black Cockatoo can be found at www.glossyblack.org.au.
